After 3 weeks at the top Capital Cities gives way to Sunset Suns who likely will see only one week at the summit. Looks like the quick ascent of July Talk (although it took a while for the song to get under my skin) assures it the peak position next week. Love the contrast of their vocal interplay.
The other big band of the moment is The Dear Hunter who next week should have three songs in the top 10. Newly discovered and with a 10 year catalog of music to digest 2017 could be the year of the hunt.
Elsewhere in the top 10 Twin Wild will have to settle for a #3 peak. They are of the Nothing But Thieves persuasion and have 2 other titles moving up my top 100 right now. Junior Empire’s Moby-esque “West Coast” may stall at #6 while Bastille did manage to spend one week in the top 5 with “Send Them Off”.
