The Arkells spend a third week at #1 while Parachute and Sophie Ellis-Bextor enter the top. The highest new entry belongs to Hunter Hayes, whose “Yesterday’s Song” debuts at #73. Interestingly it is right next to a former #1 by the Last Bandoleros, “Where Do You Go?”. I say interesting because both, to me, are more pop than country in their own ways. Unfortunately the Last Bandoleros song was pitched to country only and petered out. We’ll see what happens with Hayes. Two other out of the box top 100 debuts include “Body Moves” by DNCE and “Vowels” by Capital Cities which both sound like radio hits to me.
