Clearly it has been a while since I posted updates here. 4 new episodes have been uploaded over the last few months.

This episode focuses on early ’70’s glam, a few well-known artists, and an obscure one who has an amazing and crazy story behind him. The lead singer of one of the bands featured gets a lot more time on the clock than I expected but it is well deserved. There is a saxophone having an aneurism, a woman on a rant, and a Broadway show run amok.

A continuation of our discussion about Jobriath’s music, this episode features a trio of his songs that other major artists have recorded. Two artists are prominent in this episode, Def Leppard and Kylie Minogue. Joe Elliot from Def Leppard was very connected to 70’s glam as a youth and fascinated by Jobriath. While Kylie Minogue has no connection to Jobriath, she does have a connection to the over-arching conversation. Hilarity ensues as we have differing opinions on a certain song, and a tragique duet is discussed

The second half of the episode features a conversation about 2 gifts, one given to me from Jeff, and the other from my mother on her birthday. His is music-oriented while her’s is just another of the myriad stories of my connection to the energy of the universe. It’s actually an uplifting end to a tragique story.

This playlist starts with one of my favorite songs from 1974 that came to me while I was sleeping. The episode has a lot of energy, music spanning from the 60’s through today, a couple of fun Uber stories, a French songstress, hardcore punk, and 3 versions of the same song (twice!). You’ll also find out who wasn’t a big fan of Cher, how the mother of one of the biggest voices of our lifetime factors into the discussion, and the most awesome way a Reddit contributor connects 2 British bands. Oh how I love how the narrative plays out in the editing process.

This episode continues the discussion of the Canadian band Mother Mother with the fun and playful side of the artist. I felt the song “The Stand” was a no-brainer for Jeff to enjoy and I was right. We also explore how their most streamed song came about 12 years after its release.

We up the flamboyance factor with the next song by the Scarlet Opera. The band is full of glam and disco which leads into a story about my coming out experience. From there I throw a little cheese into the mix from the late ’70’s. Sexual innuendo, a hippie 7th grade teacher, and bad music movies enter the conversation.

Finally we get all theatrical with a perfect song for the end of Act One of a ficticious Broadway musical. The unavoidable comparison to Queen happens and another Billie Eilish cover versions is discovered.
