Beyond Radio’s Personal Chart Adds Top 100, May 10 (tracking week ending May 5)
Not at all a surprise that “Me!” sees the biggest add week since the inception of this chart. With 42 adds it beats “7 Rings” which had 39 adds on the Feb. 1 chart. What is a surprise is that it only jumped 100-2 on the Billboard Hot 100, shut out by this week’s #29 add “Old Town Road”.
There are other surprises in the top 10 with Stormzy vaulting 95-2 with “Vossi Bop” and Madonna only dropping one position down to #3. Along with her, 2 other 50 year old plus artists land in the top 10. Kylie Minogue debuts at #4 with New York City” with 12 adds and Bruce Springsteen moves 79-8 with “Hello Sunshine” on 8 adds.
Madonna also debuts another song, “I Rise” which lands at #11 with 2 of her 5 adds coming in at #1 and #2. She is not the only artist with 2 songs in the top 20. Bastille places at #12 with “Doom Days” and #15 with the more radio friendly “Joy” at #15.
The other 4 debuts in the top 20 belong to men. Shawn Mendes at #5, Lewis Capaldi #10, Noel Gallagher at #14 and Lauv at #18.
Finally Billie Eilish joins Ava Max with 6 consecutive weeks in the top 10. Not even Ariana Grande has accomplished that.
