In the 10 weeks since this chart debuted Royal Blood have remained in the top 10 and finally reach the summit this week. London Grammar had an international hit in 2013 with the song “Strong”. This year 4 songs from their second full length have reached the BR250, this one is trending at #107 this week. Wrabel’s poignant “The Village” is in at #3, skirting close to the BR250’s top 100.
The preview into Walk The Moon’s upcoming album vaults to #4 and I imagine it will be the sole week on this chart as it should quickly ascend the Alternative chart.
The rest of the top 10 are new entries including 2 Garys. At #8 Gary Numan of 1979’s “Cars” fame. It was his only hit in the U.S. In his homeland of the UK he has charted 21 albums and almost 40 singles. Country star Gary Allan released his 1st album in 1996 and has amassed 23 Country top 40 singles, including 4 #1’s. Last year he reached #146 on the BR250 with “Do You Wish it Was Me?” a song that reached #2 on my personal chart.
