Katy Perry unchained

Katy Perry rises 9-3 and could be a contender for #1 next week if she claims another surge in adds. She picked up 20 this week, only 2 behind “Shape Of You” now. That song only saw a slight increase in points (17), while Perry increased by over 1200 so clearly her momentum is greater.

Depeche Mode (19-13) and Imagine Dragons (23-14) come closer to the top 10, and 2 songs enter the top 25, “Scared To Be Lonely” (28-18) and “”That’s What I Like” (26-22), all on similar point increases.

Just outside the top 25 Biffy Clyro jump 20 spots from 46-26, far surpassing the top 100 peaks of the other 4 songs they have placed from their most recent album. Those all peaked between 72 and 85 in the last 12 months.

The 3 highest new editions to the top 100 belong to Lana Del Rey moving 238-52, Sophie Ellis-Bextor up 115-55 and Kygo with Selene Gomez on “It Ain’t Me” vaulting 242-62.
