Beyond Radio is the place where music discovery and music nostalgia collide. It is your one-stop source for playlists, music charts, remembrances and recommendations. Our Podcast and music therapy playlists combine elements of nostalgia and discovery, while my blog entries reflect on our musical past through the lens of my personal charts from decades past. I weave a story that includes the connection between artists, chart facts and personal anecdotes that hopefully conjure a connection to the soundtrack of your own life. The current charts and playlists are updated monthly or bi-monthly (bi-weekly for the BR250) and are curated based on a passionate audience that produce their own personal charts weekly.
What songs are going to rule the airwaves this fall? Here are some possibilities. After “Cake By The Ocean” I think “Body Moves” has the sound to bring them back to the top 10 Pop and Hot AC. Hunter Hayes latest “Yesterday’s Song” could be too pop for country & too rock for pop but it’s undeniably catchy and hopefully will find a home on radio. I think it’s a good bet at HotAC. Another possible HotAC hit, along with Alternative and AAA could be “Vowels” by Capital Cities. Don’t think it can attain the heights of “Safe And Sound” but it should have some radio impact. Lastly “Starboy” is already top 15 airplay on Pop so it should be #1 in a few weeks and perhaps be the song of the fall.
The latest R&B pick list includes songs from Mac Miller, Jorja Smith, Rebecca Ferguson, Partynextdoor and Kwabs. If you’d like to receive some sample pick lists before becoming a member send me an email tim@beyondradio.com
